Director job role

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Director to join our Directors Dept. based at our studios in Colchester.

Being part of the Directors Dept. puts you right in the center of all our exciting projects. Reporting to the Head Director, you’ll lead creative productions across the business.

You’ll collaborate with our in-house creative and commercial teams to lead the creative and deliver projects to the client’s deadline and expectations, from initial brief all the way through to the final edit – your creative/commercial judgement and decision making is key.

The role involves leading small to medium size crews, working with talent and maintaining a clear line of communication to the client. You will possess strong communication skills and will be comfortable pitching ideas to clients on calls or leading crew and talent on set. This is a senior position, perfect for someone with 3+ years of directing experience.


  • 3+ years previous commercial/professional experience in the industry
  • A strong portfolio of work showcasing creative invention for branded content
  • Creative flare with a commitment to upholding impeccable attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Thorough understanding and experience in the complete production process, from treatments and scripting through to filming, editing and client sign off
  • Clear creative vision with the ability to concisely provide direction to all crew and external stakeholders
  • Proactive approach to multitasking and problem solving
  • Technical expertise and understanding of camera and lighting, practical is advantageous.

Location: Colchester: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
