Creating eye-catching assets for global beauty brands
Since partnering with COTY in 2017, we have produced thousands of assets for their health and beauty brands. Our in-house photography, art, CG, and digital imaging teams all work together to make iSite a one-stop-shop for household names under the COTY umbrella.
Imagery
COTY shoots are often very technical and involve several different lighting techniques, leading to a fair bit of testing and experimentation on set. These projects also give our photographers a chance to work with a variety of textures and shapes, allowing them to really get creative. The retouching team then get to work perfecting and finetuning the images. This process sometimes even involves some problem solving, having to use AI when props can’t be sourced in time.
Art
Once the brief comes through, the art team will work with the client to create a concept for the proposed styling of the shoot. Each concept is tailored to the product, campaign and demographic to best suit what's required for the content. Once approved, the art team will source the relevant materials and props to bring the vision to life. On set, the art team will style each shot, working with the photography team to ensure that the product is displayed correctly.
CG & Animation
Working closely with the digital design team, CG are often needed to create realistic-looking environments and backgrounds in which to put COTY’s products. They can also replicate a product to make it easier to manipulate in a way that wouldn’t be possible in photography. Animators are then drafted in when COTY are looking for a fun and dynamic asset that will stand out and grab attention on a retailer’s website.
Graphic Design
Our graphic design team work will either start with an isolated product shot sent by the client, or use the results of an in-studio shoot to create eye-catching assets. This can be anything from simply adding titles to creating a themed background to make the products pop. This means we can provide quick turnaround times as not every project will require a shoot. They also work closely with the CG and animation departments to create dynamic assets that will stand out on landing pages.
