Iconic bottle silhouette used for powerful Black Friday campaign
Taking full advantage of the confidence OPI has in its iconic bottle shape and how it’s recognised globally, we aimed to create a silhouette with lacquer.
Challenge
The brief for this project was to create something simple yet visually striking, so potential customers would immediately be drawn in and want to know more. OPI also had a specific Black Friday promo plan that needed to be followed, so the assets were created to align with this.
Strategy
Both our production and digital departments had parts to play in this project. First we needed to shoot a promotional video in our studios to show off the products and tease the Black Friday offers. The rest of the project involved the creation of several assets to tease, launch, and promote a variety of these offers throughout November. All of this with the aim of maintaining a consistent and cohesive look and feel.

Solution
The result was a collection of bold and vibrant images that depicted the iconic OPI bottle silhouette covered in colourful lacquer. These were used on retail sites, social media, and in email newsletters to promote each phase of the client’s Black Friday rollout. The video we produced was a dynamic and classy product showcase that drew attention to the best Black Friday offers. This was used across OPI’s digital channels and amplified in paid media.

Photography to designed asset
When a client isn’t able to provide the image our designers need, our photography department can step in. Our team takes product photos on an all-white background, and our digital design team then inserts the image into assets to fit in with the campaign (as can be seen below). The client then has the on-white image to use if and when they need it in the future.

Animation
When a client wants a more premium look, our animation team can help to achieve that. Adding just a slight hint of animation makes the assets more attention-grabbing as they’re not fully static. This is a great solution for emails as the low level of animation ensures a smaller file size, so won’t be difficult for the customer to load.

Excited for the next project to come😊
